I’m on my third tube and it’s only been less than a year. Shu Uemura’s Pro Concealer circa many years ago was the only one i purchased over and over again but once they changed the formula I moved on to Cle De Peau (CDP) but this has to be my favourite.
This is so much more hydrating for use on my under eyes and zits and the best thing is it’s easy to blend, great coverage and stays on.
While it’s pretty cheap $35 from mecca cosmetica the product runs out quickly so while you might be paying around USD$80 for CDP, you will appreciate how much longer it takes before CDP runs out. Having said that CDP doesn’t last as long on the skin as this does. Another gripe is that while they have a wide colour range CDP is a perfect match for me but Biscuit (from NARS) is still a tad darker than I’d like it to be.
Just noticed I purchased my first tube exactly one year ago. Since I’m onto my 2nd tube it’s only befitting that I dedicate a post to it.
I only use cream concealer a because I have oilier skin around my eyes and really dark eye circles. Shu Uemura pro concealer use to be my HG but it is now far too drying plus they replaced it with a new formula.
The colour match of this concealer is perfect (beige) for my nc25 skin and is not as drying. Very easy to blend (I use my sephora concealer brush) and you don’t need a lot because it has lasted me 1 year. Just dot and blend.
Only downside is the price rm190 and around 6 hrs it starts fading off. As you can see its not a lot of product for rm190.
I am interested in trying their skin care, if anyone has experienced great results please share 🙂
Before I left the house, I thought about the things I might want to get:
SK-II whitening spots specialist
SK-II UV cream
Dior BB creme
Powder foundation from either Dior, Chanel or Estée Lauder
I’d say powder foundation was probably the only item I might need seeing I’ve hit pan on my Shu Uemura powder foundation but I actually still have Dior nude glow powder and 2 other mineral powder foundations.
I went around the beauty hall and ended up at the cle de peau counter at pavilion. The lady was so nice, warm and non-pushy.
Despite my best intentions to stick to my ‘list’, the price tag of RM380 for powder foundation made me gag a little (SO EXPENSIVE!) I came home with this.
I’m not very adventurous when it comes to concealers because that’s the one staple that has to perform well as my dark eye circles are scary so let’s hope this item lives up to the hype.
I admit the price of this is excessive too RM190, roughly the same as HK prices and cheaper than the US retail.
